A cotton gin in Macon County has been rebuilt after a tornado destroyed it last year.
SHORTER, Ala. - If you ask the Milstead Farm Group President Shep Morris, he’ll tell you the tornado that destroyed his property seemed much stronger than an EF2.
Wednesday will mark one year since the tornado ravaged the Milstead Farm Group’s cotton gin. It left the gin and seed houses unrecognizable. You may think with such severe damage that it would take awhile to determine if they should rebuild. That wasn’t the case here. In fact, it was the same day the tornado hit that it was decided the gin and seed houses were to be rebuilt.
