A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the death of a man whose body was found on the side of the road in Atascosa County.
David Castleberry, 25, and Clarissa Guillen, 21, both of San Antonio, have been charged with murder, Atascosa County Sheriff David Soward said in a news conference on Friday., identified as Lucio Carmona, 25, of San Antonio, on Tessman Road, north of Pleasanton. They left his body on the side of the road and he was found on Tuesday, Soward said.
Investigators spoke with the victim’s family and learned that he was last seen with the suspects on Tuesday evening. Castleberry was taken into custody for parole violation and a warrant on drug possession, and Guillen was taken into custody for a warrant on possession of a stolen vehicle. They were booked into the Atascosa County Jail on Thursday evening. Their bonds are set at $800,000.
