Crews were called to a home in the 2200 block of 25th Avenue East for a report of a basement fire. A tweet from the Seattle Fire Department at 9:36 a.m. on Wednesday said there was also an ongoing “scene of violence” at the location. Seattle police said the man with the knife is possibly in crisis. Officers are speaking to him and believe someone else may be inside the house.

Watch live video from Chopper 7This is the scene at 2200 block of 25th Avenue E. Heavy smoke coming from one house. I have not seen any flames. Neighbors say DCR along with police were first on scene, then the first started.
