Stephen Owusu stabbed Thomas Murphy to death at the house they shared in Manchester.
Greater Manchester Police said Thomas Murphy, 42, was found dead at the Beverly Road house he shared with Stephen Owusu in Fallowfield, Manchester, on 24 September 2022.Owusu admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility
Speaking after the sentencing, senior investigating officer Phil Reade said Mr Murphy was "a completely innocent victim and the thoughts of the whole investigation team remain with his family, especially his two daughters and his parents".
