Police are looking for a man they say assaulted a D.C. officer Wednesday when thousands flooded D.C. streets to protest Netanyahu's speech to Congress.
Authorities are looking for a suspect they say assaulted a Metropolitan Police Department officer on Wednesday, July 21, 2024.
Police said the individual fled the scene after the object thrown struck the officer. It's not clear if the suspect was part of the ongoing protests.On Wednesday, MPD said at least 23 people were arrested due to several demonstrations taking place across the District. Protesters were calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, where Israeli forces have intensified bombardments. Many demonstrators also demand Netanyahu's arrest, claiming he's responsible for the ongoing violence.
