A Manchester United star appeared to show public support for Mason Greenwood on the player's debut for Getafe.
Greenwood came off the bench to make his Getafe debut against Osasuna in La Liga this afternoon, making his first competitive appearance since his arrest in January 2022 following allegations surrounding material which was published online. In August United said Greenwood would leave by mutual agreement after a six-month internal club investigation. The Old Trafford club's decision came after criminal charges against the player, including attempted rape and assault, were dropped in February.
However Greenwood has reignited his professional career in Spain, with United star Amad Diallo publicly throwing his support behind the one-cap England international on Instagram.Diallo posted an Instagram story of Greenwood coming off the bench to make his debut for the La Liga side, accompanied by two heart emojis.
In October 2022 Greenwood was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
