Ten Hag criticised Sancho after omitting him from the Man United squad for the defeat to Arsenal with the player hitting back on social media
The Reds boss has only been in the job a little over a year but has already had to reshape the squad and deal with the end of Cristiano Ronaldo's second spell at the club. That's before we even get to the football.
In October 2019, Sancho was left out of the squad for a game with Borussia Monchengladbach having returned late to the club following international duty with England. "He is only suspended today [Saturday]. Jadon is a good lad, but he's very young and shot to the top. He might test his limits and that's why we decided to not call him up today."
Both those incidents came after Sancho left his passport at home en route to a flight for a Champions League fixture at Tottenham, although his then team-mate Thomas Delaney joked the delay only cost them 17 minutes. "Football is a team sport. You have to be consistent and make a tough decision in the interests of the group."
