Erik ten Hag is shaking up his midfield Manchester United have confirmed the departure of Hannibal Mejbri as Erik ten Hag’s side gear up for the long-awaited arrival of Manuel Ugarte. United have been seeking to revamp their central midfield options all summer, but are finally making progress in the final days of the transfer window. Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ugarte has agreed a deal to join Old Trafford having fallen out of favour at the Ligue 1 side.
The youngster arrived at Old Trafford from Monaco in 2019 but made just 13 first-team appearances in five years at the club. Hannibal Mejbri has joined Burnley After an unsuccessful loan spell at Spanish side Sevilla last season, Mejbri returned to pre-season with United but the Tunisian has now completed a move to Scott Parker’s Clarets, signing on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee. ‘I’m very excited. Very happy to be here and I can’t wait to see the fans.
