Marc Skinner believes a repeat second-half performances vs PSG is key to conquer domestic success
Manchester United boss Marc Skinner believes few teams will be able to deal with his side if they can hit their best form this season.
United were put under persistent pressure in the opening 45, yet came out after the break all guns blazing as they kept hold of the ball, pulled the tie back to level terms and took the game to the French heavyweights. Skinner has now discussed how the squad unlocked a new level of performance and he wants that to stay: “PSG in the first half were another level physically. They felt how intense it was in the first half and then in the second half, they fixed it quickly.
“If you’ve set that standard, why not chase it again? The opponent will be different but they’re high energy, high press, they will put pressure on us. “You’ve seen already I've gone to the bench quite quickly to change games and they’ve done very well in doing that, I think three or four substitutions have scored. We have a game plan for utilising everyone in this game.
Leicester started their season with a bang, with three wins in three games, in all competitions. A 4-2 win over Bristol City, a 1-0 win at home to Everton and then a 2-1 win in the Continental Cup tie against Liverpool mid-week, they head to Leigh Sports Village with serious momentum.
