Inter Milan are said to have enquired about both Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof MUFC
Manchester United’s out of favour centre-backs are in demand, but there are unlikely to be any exits before the transfer window closes.Maguire has not been able to displace Varane or MartinezThe Serie A giants are set to lose Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint-Germain with the player pushing to leave in January, despite his contract expiring at the end of the season.
When asked if there’s any news on Maguire, talkSPORT’s football correspondent Crook said: “I don’t think so. I think Manchester United’s window could be closed in terms of incomings and outgoings.“There are concerns over Christian Eriksen, horrible tackle from Andy Carroll in that FA Cup game. Eriksen left the game on crutches and United fans will hope he’s not out for a significant time as they are short in that department.
Manager Erik ten Hag has previously insisted he wanted to keep the England centre-back at the club, who has struggled to displace Raphael Varane or Lisandro Martinez.“I’m 29 and haven’t really been in this position in my career before,” said the United captain. “It was two-and-a-half weeks since my last start but I’ve felt I have looked after myself. I’ve been working hard in training. The lads who have been playing have been doing well. I have to be ready when my chance comes.Inter are also said to have made an enquiry for Lindelof, who has played just six times in the Premier League this season. However, like Maguire, Lindelof will not be for sale.
