Man Utd are set to add another new face to Erik ten Hag's backroom team as they try to wrap up a deal for Andreas Georgson.
Manchester United are set to add current Lillestrom manager Andreas Georgson to Erik ten Hag's backroom staff as a set-piece coach.
The Swedish coach took up the job with Lillestrom after spending the first half of last season as a set-piece coach at Southampton, where he was appointed by their director of football Jason Wilcox. United have beefed up Ten Hag's backroom staff this summer and Wilcox, now technical director at Old Trafford, is thought to be behind the move for Georgson.
“He is an expert in what he does and truly eats, sleeps and breathes set-pieces, adding another string to our bow within the backroom staff supporting Russell and the team." He returned to the Swedish giants in 2022 as head of first-team football and then had a brief stint as caretaker manager, before then making the switch to Southampton in August 2023. Lillestrom are currently eighth in the Eliteserien and are next in action on Sunday.
