Erik ten Hag is keen to bring a younger and more physically dominant defender to Man United and is said to have identified four potential targets.

Manchester United have put together a shortlist of four potential defensive targets as they look to strengthen in that area next summer, according to reports.

Ten Hag is keen to lower the age profile in that area and add a more physical presence, with the Mirror reporting a list of four targets has been drawn up. The Manchester Evening News understands that Edmond Tapsoba was of interest last summer and the Bayer Leverkusen man has been joined by Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo and Antonio Silva of Benfica.

Elsewhere, Football Insider reports that RB Leipzig will not allow Lois Openda to leave in January despite mooted interest from United.
