Mohammed Chowdhury has been charged with causing the death of Ibizugbe Ikponnmwen by dangerous driving
A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a woman was killed in a crash in east Manchester in 2021.
Ibizugbe Ikponnmwen died after a collision involving a Mercedes G-Wagon car on Alan Turing Way on October 25. The 38-year-old was rushed to hospital but tragically passed away as a result of her injuries. Mohammed Chowdhury, of Rosen Square, Chadderton, has now been charged with causing her death by dangerous driving. The 22-year-old will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court today , according to official court documents.
Following her death, Ibizugbe's family described her as being 'much-loved' with a 'gentle soul'. They said she left a 'remarkable legacy' as they paid tribute to her.
