A report of a suspected drunk driver and a woman who tried to jump out of the car results in charges against the driver.
On August 23, an officer was dispatched for a possible drunk driver coming from Sheffield Lake and a passenger that was possibly being assaulted. Dispatch received a second call that a woman was trying to jump out of a moving red truck in the Giant Eagle parking lot. Upon arrival, police found the suspected truck parked in the Ace Hardware parking lot with the passenger door open. The owner was identified and detained. He was charged with drunk driving and driving under suspension.
