A mourner who repeatedly stabbed a man outside a wake has been jailed for six-and-a-half years.
Nathan Bibby attacked the man outside a pub where the wake was being held last July, Luton Crown Court heard. The 36-year-old had earlier left the premises in Sandy, Bedfordshire, after getting into an argument with the man, but later returned with a knife. Bibby stabbed the man multiple times in the torso in front of shocked witnesses before fleeing the scene.Detective constable Jade Heredia said it was ‘sheer luck’ his injuries were not more serious.
