Man shot twice through front door of Encanto home [Breaking]
A 59-year-old man was wounded late Saturday night when he was struck twice by gunfire through the front door of his Encanto home, San Diego police said.
It happened just after 11:30 p.m. at a home on 68th Street between Akins and Brooklyn avenues, in a neighborhood just off Imperial Avenue, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims wrote in a news release. Multiple gunshots came through the door — it was not clear exactly how many — and the victim was struck twice, according to Heims. Paramedics took him to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.No information about the shooter or shooters was immediately available, Heims said. Detectives from the Police Department’s southeastern division were investigating.
