Just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to calls of a shooting at the parking lot near the corner of East Crockett Street and Bowie Street, just behind the iconic historic building. Police on the scene said that the shooting stemmed from a robbery at the parking lot, where eight to ten shots were fired.
Emergency Medical Services were called to the corner of Dallas Street and Richmond Avenue when a reported shooting victim reported to Baptist Hospital. Police did confirm that a 36-year-old male involved in the shooting reported to Baptist Hospital with a gunshot wound to the face, and was transported to a different hospital for treatment.
