A suspect is in custody while another is on the loose.
A man was shot while mowing his lawn Saturday evening on the South Side of San Antonio.
The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Ohio Street, southeast of downtown San Antonio, San Antonio police said. A 56-year-old man told police he saw two suspects come near his lawn with guns. Each suspect fired once with at least one shot wounding the man in the abdomen, police said. He was taken to a hospital via Emergency Medical Services and remained in stable condition as of Sunday morning.
One suspect, a 59-year-old man, was taken into custody at the scene where a handgun was recovered, police said. The other suspect, a 54-year-old man, has yet to be found.
