The 29-year-old victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were non-life threatening

A man was brought to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the neck in East Village late Saturday night, San Diego Police reported.

Police said they received a call around 9:46 p.m. that a shooting had happened during a verbal argument on National Avenue near Imperial Avenue between a 29-year-old victim and another man. During the argument, the suspect took out a gun and shot the other man. The suspect — who police said was described as wearing a white shirt, black jacket and blue shorts — fled the scene on a white bicycle going eastbound on Commercial Avenue. He was described as being between 30 and 40 years old, 5 ft 10 inches tall and approximately 230 pounds.The case is under investigation and the suspect remained at large late Saturday night.
