The man, who was shot in the right bicep and a finger, drove himself to a hospital.
Road rage led to one driver shooting another in Hacienda Heights over the weekend, authorities said, with the suspect getting away.
The victim, shot in the right bicep and in a finger, drove to a Whittier hospital, and a staffer called the Sheriff’s Department at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, Sgt. Joe Mesa said. The man told deputies he had been driving near Azusa Avenue and Colima Road when he and the driver of a Prius were trying to get around a slower car, Mesa said. The man’s car ended up in front of the Prius, with the suspect apparently believing he got cut off.
The suspect pulled alongside the victim’s car, pointed a gun at him and fired several times, the sergeant said.
