The shooting took place near 3rd Avenue and Pike Street at approximately 2:30 a.m. Friday. In addition to 3rd Avenue, Pike Street and 2nd Avenue were blocked off, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation , once police officers arrived to investigate the scene. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is in serious, but stable, condition, as of this reporting.
The suspect remains on the loose after he fled the scene on foot down Pike Street and then north through an alley. Officers searched the area, but could not find them.
