Police have revealed a man shot dead in Sydney's west was targeted in a daylight attack following a meeting between two groups of men.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, was shot in his shoulder near a black BMW on Factory Street in Granville about 4.30pm on Sunday.
Granville Police Superintendent Andrew Holland on Monday told reporters two groups of Asian men had been meeting at the location before bangs were reportedly heard.“It’s definitely a targeted attack,” he said. The man has yet to be formally identified by police but the Daily Telegraph has reported he was of Asian background with links to organised crime.
