Man shot, critically wounded on Clark Street in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood

CHICAGO -- A man was shot and critically wounded Wednesday afternoon on busy Clark Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.Police said the shooting happened at 3:58 p.m. on Clark Street right south of Arlington Place.Ald. Timmy Knudsen said the man who was later shot was exhibiting 'erratic and dangerous behavior' and attacked the shooter. The shooter then pulled a gun and opened fire, police said.

Following the shooting, police were seen on the street near Döner 97, 2435 N. Clark St., and Mitazi Salon and Boutique, 2433 N. Clark St. Crime scene tape was seen strung up on Clark Street at Arlington Place, and Clark Street was blocked between Arlington Place and Fullerton Parkway following the shooting.Knudsen's office said there is reason to believe the shooting was an isolated incident, and the victim and the shooter knew each other.
