Man shot, critically injured after bar fight spills into Sherman Heights street [Breaking]
A man was shot in the head and critically injured early Sunday after an altercation broke out at a bar in Sherman Heights and spilled out onto the street, San Diego police said.
Police were called at 4 a.m. about reports of gunshots near the intersection of Imperial Avenue and 22nd Street, between a Walmart and the Secret Yard bar. Police believe the fight broke out in the bar then went onto the street, which led to the shooting, San Diego police Lt. Christian Sharp told OnScene TV.The victim, who is about 50 years old, was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition, police Sgt. Eduardo Lopez said.
Two people were detained for suspected involvement in the shooting, Lopez said. No other details were immediately available.
