Police on Friday charged the wounded 41-year-old man with aggravated assault and other charges.

The man eventually left his father there, neighbors said, who asked a passerby to call 911 on his behalf. When a single Marysville officer arrived, he ordered Conroy to drop to the ground, neighbors said. The man refused, according to neighbors, then approached the officer, who fired his stun gun. The officer and the man wrestled on the ground for several minutes as state police troopers flooded the scene with rifles.

“Son got back up and continued attacking officer. Son was shot. Son WOULD NOT comply with officer demands” the post read. Police were standing guard in between homes and several long pieces of police tape could be seen stretching across properties in the Marysville neighborhood Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024. Several officers were stationed between homes along Church Street.

State police have not released any additional details on the circumstances of the shooting as of Friday morning.
