NEW YORK - A man was shot and killed early Friday morning on the subway in the Bronx, police say.The shooting happened shortly after 5 a.m. on a southbound D train near the 182nd-183rd Street station in Fordham Heights.Police said a 45-year-old man was shot in the chest. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Video from the scene showed first responders treating the victim on the platform before he was taken away on a stretcher. The MTA says B and D trains are bypassing the station, as the investigation continues.
