A 58-year-old man was shot and killed inside a Capitol Hill apartment building along 17th Avenue Thursday morning.
Olive Ridge apartments, which is a Seattle Housing Authority property at 1700 17th Avenue. The victim,
, was found in the seventh-floor hallway with a gunshot wound to his head, according to SPD Det. Brian Pritchard."Right now, we know there were multiple shots," Pritchard said around 9:30 a.m. "Nobody else was hurt in the building. That we know of." "I heard six shots, I got up out of bed, and as I got up and opened my door, there was Michael on the floor in a pool of blood and a female running down the hall," Nigel Wesley, who lives across the hall from the victim, said. "I heard the female’s voice because she was saying, 'Leave me the eff alone. I told you to leave me the eff alone and bang bang bang."Pritchard said a K-9 unit tried to track the female suspect, but she was not found by officers at the scene.
