before emergency services arrived. As reported by Edinburgh Live, police have now revealed a 29-year-old man was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries. Paramedics were apparently treating the man that had been hit by a van and onlookers claimed to see police gathering statements. Two men, aged 31 and 26, have now been arrested. Police say their enquiries into establishing the full circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police and emergency services were called to a report of a road crash and subsequent disturbance on Ardshiel Avenue, Edinburgh, around 12.15pm on Monday, October 10.“Two men, aged 31 and 26, have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
