A 29-year-old was found badly injured on Shettleston Road last night

A man has been rushed to hospital after an alleged street attack in Glasgow. Emergency services were called to the scene on Shettleston Road at around 8pm on Saturday, October 29.

A large police cordon was thrown up by investigators, who discovered a 29-year-old man had been badly hurt. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to his injuries but his current condition is not known.Police Scotland have launched a probe into the alleged assault. This morning, they confirmed that a 59-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the alleged incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 8pm on Saturday, October 29, police were called to a report of a 29-year-old man seriously assaulted on Shettleston Road, Glasgow. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Top news stories today “A 59-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this serious assault and enquiries are ongoing.”
