Police said the shooter, who owns the property, is cooperating with investigators.
A man is in critical condition after he was shot while reportedly trespassing with a shovel in another man’s backyard on the West Side.Guilty verdict for man who shot 'friend' seven times in 2021 and claimed self-defense
Emergency medical personnel took the man to an area hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds. The homeowner, 25, shot the man multiple times as he appeared to be trespassing in the backyard, police said. Police, however, have not determined why the wounded man was in that yard or what led to the shooting.
“What he was doing back there we don’t know,” said Officer Ricardo Guzman, a San Antonio Police Department spokesman. “What happened in those moments is what’s being investigated right now.”
