A Dauphin County man has been arrested after allegedly crashing a stolen car into a police vehicle while possessing illegal substances and a stolen firearm, acc
ording to Harrisburg City Police.
Kyree Ross, 30, was arrested on multiple felony charges including carrying firearms without a license, fleeing police, receiving stolen property and institutional vandalism of an education facility. Ross was arrested while out on bail for a separate stolen firearm offense, as well as having an active warrant out for his arrest.
Police state that on Nov. 30 around Derry Street and S. 13th Street, Ross had "rammed a marked patrol vehicle" several times before attempting to flee the scene, leading to Ross crashing into several other unoccupied vehicles. Charging documents say that Ross then fled the vehicle on foot before getting arrested by police. Authorities say that Ross was found with a stolen handgun, packaged crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, suboxone strips and a "large amount" of U.S. currency.
Ross remains in Dauphin County Prison awaiting a Dec. 12 preliminary hearing with bail set at $50,000.
