Los Angeles police distributed a surveillance image of the Toyota Camry that ran over and killed a man who may have been suffering from a medical issue early Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, on Temple Street, just west of Fremont Street, in downtown Los Angeles . The image on the right shows a vehicle similar to the one driven by the hit-and-run suspect.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the man may have been in medical distress and fell unconscious on the westbound side of Temple Street just west of Fremont Street shortly before 3 a.m. The unidentified man was subsequently struck by a westbound 2007 or 2011 sky-blue metallic Toyota Camry, police said.Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were dispatched to the location, where they pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. Police said the man was about 50 years old.
