Officers found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the 1700 block of Story Road.
The shooting was reported around 1:40 a.m. in the 1700 block of Story Road, near Emma Prusch Farm Park, San Jose police Officer Tanya Hernandez said in a news release. Officers arrived to find a man in a parking lot suffering from at least one gunshot wound.The motive and circumstances surrounding the homicide are under investigation. No arrests were announced Monday.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity after it is confirmed and his next of kin is notified, according to Hernandez. The death marked the city’s 23rd homicide of 2024.
