SAN ANTONIO - A man is in critical condition following a shooting on the city's Northwest side.The shooting happened around 1:49 am at the Villas de Sendero Apa
The shooting happened around 1:49 am at the Villas de Sendero Apartments located at 8841 Timber Path.
According to the San Antonio Police Department , when they arrived at the scene they found a 30-year-old man lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police say initially, the victim's significant other, identified as 24-year-old Alexis Salazar, who was present at the scene, reported an unknown suspect approaching and shooting the victim. However, after searching the apartment and conducting a thorough investigation, detectives discovered evidence that contradicted the initial story. Inconsistencies, including a shell casing found inside the apartment, led investigators to believe the shooting happened within the residence.
According to police, Alexis Salazar was taken in for questioning. Following further investigation, it was determined that Salazar was the shooter and acted during a domestic dispute with the victim.
