Records show Dothan police jailed a North Carolina man early Saturday on capital murder charges.
DOTHAN , Ala. -
Jail records show that Phillip Lee McAdoo of High Point was arrested at 3:36 a.m. and immediately held without bond.Officers received a call about a shooting in the 2700 block of East Cottonwood Road on Saturday. When they arrived on scene, they found several juveniles in the home. One of them pointed officers to Colbert who was lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.
Investigators said Colbert and McAdoo were in a previous relationship and had a child together. An argument broke out between the two and McAdoo pulled out a firearm and shot at Colbert multiple times.Children in the home gave officers the suspect’s description and investigators noticed McAdoo leaving the area.
