The man was charged separately in two sessions courts in Melaka, which handed down 32 jail sentences to be served concurrently.

MELAKA: A swimming instructor was sentenced to 35 years’ jail and 20 lashes on 32 charges of committing sexual crimes over the past three years against his stepdaughter, who is now 16.The man had pleaded guilty separately in two sessions courts to:8 charges of having sex using an object without the victim’s consent;1 charge of raping the girl after she was above the age of 16.

All the offences were committed between January 2020 and March 14 this year at their home in a housing estate in Jasin.
