Police were investigating early Thursday after a man was injured in a shooting in southwest Houston.
Officers around 1:30 a.m. responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Fondren Road and W. Airport Boulevard, Sgt. Jason Hill, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters. Several bystanders were tending to a man who had been shot in the arm.Emergency responders took the man to a hospital, where he was taken into surgery with non-life threatening injuries, Hill said.
The man provided few details about what had happened, Hill said. He pulled into a parking lot and called police himself, but investigators had no information about where he’d been when he was shot or who might have done it.
