Advocates in Arizona say they are thankful for the advisory and hope it will bring collective change.

MESA, Ariz. — A resident in a Mesa neighborhood thought a bomb had gone off at a neighbor's home Wednesday night but it turned out to be an explosion caused by oil on a stove, Mesa police said.

The man was taken to the Maricopa County Hospital burn unit and his condition is currently unknown. Police said an early investigation revealed the man was heating oil on the stove when it"exploded," causing a window to blow out and resulting in the man's injuries.
