CLEVELAND , Ohio - A Cuyahoga County grand jury indicted 25-year-old Devon Jones for his role in the homicide of 28-year-old Carlos Banks in December 2024. Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley stated, “We continue to investigate others who may be involved in the homicide of Carlos Banks . If you have any information, please contact the Cleveland Division of Police’s Homicide Unit at 216.623.5464.
” The prosecutor’s office revealed that on December 29, 2024, Devon Jones, along with additional unidentified males, conspired to rob Carlos Banks. Banks was residing at an apartment complex situated near Broadway Avenue and Fowler Avenue in Cleveland. Prosecutors allege that to gain entry into the apartment complex, the group kidnapped a 30-year-old female victim who allowed them access. Upon entering the complex, they confronted Banks, robbed him, shot him multiple times, and subsequently fled the scene. Jones was apprehended on January 16 by U.S. Marshals in Pennsylvania.
