JOHOR BARU: A man who was seen arrested in a recent viral video was found to have 3.1g of syabu on him, say the police.
Johor Police Chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said the suspect and another person were initially seen in a white Mitsubishi behaving suspiciously in the Taman Pelangi area at about 9.20pm Sunday .
"The chase ended at the Jalan Kangkar Tebrau area and involved nine police patrol cars," he said in a press conference at the Johor police headquarters here Monday ."The video seen online was at the moment of arrest, with the suspect still attempting to resist. Both suspects, aged 31 and 43, are currently remanded until April 29, with the case being investigated under Section 186 of the penal code as well as Rule 11 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations 2020.
