Published: Nov. 27, 2024, 11:59 p.m.At 3:25 a.m. Nov. 23, an officer on patrol saw a dark-colored Nissan Rogue speed past him on Chagrin Boulevard westbound, traveling 59 miles per hour in the 35-MPH zone. The officer activated his overhead lights and turned around to follow the Rogue as it passed Richmond Road, went through a red light, and crossed the bridge over I-271.
It was found that the man was wanted on traffic warrants issued by police in Highland Heights, Cleveland Heights and Willoughby Hills. He was also wanted on a Maple Heights police warrant for domestic violence. The Cleveland man, 30, had his license suspended for failing to pay child support. At 7:50 p.m. that night, the mother found that her daughter had been using her school computer. When discovered, the daughter began yelling and followed her mother to the bathroom, then blocked the bathroom door for 15-20 minutes and threatened to harm her.
