The local community has been left shocked by the attack on Monday morning
A man was parking his car to go to work when he was shot in the neck and arm in Crossmaglen on Monday morning.
SDLP councillor Peter Byrne told Belfast Live that he had been informed that this was a targeted shooting and the local community has been left in a state of shock. "No one in the community can understand why this has taken place and who would carry out such a cowardly attack."Nobody should be subjected to something like this and I would appeal to anyone with any information to come forward to police immediately.”
Detective Sergeant Dougherty said: “At around 6.30am, officers received and responded to a report that a man in his 30s had been shot in the arm and the neck whilst sitting inside a vehicle in the Ballsmill Road area. “A number of road closures remain in place, as police are still currently at the scene, conducting enquiries.
