Updated on Saturday, July 24 to include new information from authorities.Dallas police released the identity of a man fatally shot Friday evening on C.F. Hawn Freeway near the Rylie area of southeast Dallas, and described the incident as a “road rage incident.

” According to new details from authorities, 59-year old Rudy Marshall was shot through the passenger side of his vehicle by an unknown suspect who was traveling westbound on C.F. Hawn Freeway. Dallas police were notified of the shooting in the 11000 block of C.F. Hawn Freeway at about 5:15 p.m.Marshall was traveling westbound in the left lane of the freeway, approaching Interstate 20, according to preliminary reports. Marshall stopped on the freeway and was taken to a local hospital where he died, police said.Police said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
