The total number of arrests so far over Sunday and Monday have reached 249 A man hunted for an attempted murder in Hackney in July has been arrested on the last day of Notting Hill Carnival. He is one of 145 people detained at the event as of 7pm today, bringing the total so far over two days to 249 after the Metropolitan Police introduced a Section 60 order, providing officers with additional search powers.
Around one million people are expected to have attended the event over the two-day period.
