Limpopo High Court sentences man to three life terms for killing three people.
Charles Maboko was found guilty of killing University of Limpopo Professor Mahomed Tayob, school teacher Muofhe Luvhimbi, as well as a builder, Lucas Malatji.He also killed Luvhimbi at a car dealership during a robbery in Polokwane.Limpopo National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says the court ruled that the sentences would not run concurrently.
Malabi-Dzhangi says, “Charles Maboko was sentenced to three life terms by the Limpopo High Court for murdering Mr Luvhimbi, an educator, Professor Tayob and Mr Malatji. The Acting Judge, Malusi Munene ordered that the three life terms will not run concurrently, however, the convict will serve 15 years plus for aggravated robbery and possession of unlawful firearm and ammunition. The NPA welcomes the sentence.
