A suspect has been charged in connection with four home break-ins in the Greystone area, and investigators are trying to determine whether the cases could be linked to a Hoover burglary last year.
There were four residential burglaries between Sept. 9 and Oct. 8, said Lt. Daniel Lowe. All four crimes involved residences where the homeowners were away at the time.
He is charged with four counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of first-degree theft of property. His bond is set at $60,000. Oct. 10 arrest of a Chilean suspect in a 2021 burglary where he had traveled to Hoover and was later arrested in Tennessee. That burglary happened on Feb. 7, 2021, in Greystone. The homeowner heard the intruder trying to gain entry by breaking the window and quickly called police.
