Birmingham police investigate a homicide in the 4200 block of 41st Avenue North.A man was found shot to death laying in an east Birmingham roadway after neighbors called police when they heard gunfire early Monday evening, authorities said.
East Precinct officers responded to the 4200 block of 41st Avenue North around 5:15 p.m. Monday, said Sgt. Laquitta Wade. Officers found the victim -- and adult male -- laying in the roadway and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, Wade said.The preliminary investigation revealed nearby residents observed shots.
“When they came to the door they found the male laying in the roadway next to a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound,” Wade said.Anyone with information on the deadly shooting was asked to call Birmigham police at 205-254-1765. Those with information who wish to remain anonymous were encourage to call Crimestopppers at 205-254-7777.
