AKRON, Ohio — A Summit County jury has convicted an Akron man of three counts of murder and multiple other charges for a 2022 shooting at a home in Cuyahoga Falls that left one man dead and a woman wounded.
Deair Wray, 29, also was found guilty of improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation, two counts of felonious assault, and having a weapon under disability, according to Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh’s office. The shooting occurred on May 26, 2022, at a home on Forest Glen Drive, prosecutors say. When officers arrived, they found Giovanni Stanford, 23, and Dezah Robertson, 22, with gunshot wounds. Stanford was pronounced dead at a hospital. Robertson was shot in the leg.Two others, Jameir McDowell and Durell McDowell, also have been charged in connection with the shooting, prosecutors say.
