Several police crews converged on a residential street in Cherry Hill as a homicide investigation unfolded Tuesday morning.
Police say a 45-year-old man, identified as Michael Anthony, was found unconscious outside a home on Sharrowvalle Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.At least two homes on the 100 block of the Barclay neighborhood were taped off as part of a road was blocked to traffic. "It's shocking because it’s a great neighborhood. Never had anything like this happen before," said Chris Shelton, neighbor.
"It was about 7 o’clock we heard some screams and then I ran outside and unfortunately saw somebody on the ground and luckily about ten seconds after I got outside the police were here and they took over from there," said Shelton.Police searched the home and carefully canvassed the surrounding neighborhood, even bringing in a K-9.At one point, a family member showed up devastated and looking for answers.
