ANTIOCH — Authorities will wait for an autopsy to determine what happened to a man found dead on a sidewalk early Wednesday, police said.Crime and Public Safety |Officers responded about 7:20 a.m. to the 2200 block of Country Hills Drive to assist Contra Costa County Fire Protection District crews after reports there was a man down on the sidewalk and in possible need of medical attention, according to a statement from Acting Lt. Matthew Koch.
Police have turned the case over to crime scene investigators and detectives with their violent crime unit, but as of Wednesday, the incident was classified as a suspicious death, not a homicide. Police are asking anyone who may have been driving through the area on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and who has dash cam video to contact Det.
